Green Mountain College Wins $50,000 From Lamb Weston

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services has been a proud partner with Green Mountain College since 2003. Chartwells' Executive Chef Tom Mooney was the lucky participant who matched a winning code from Lamb Weston's "The Peel Deal" promotion for Sweet ThingsĀ® Sweet Potato Fries.

Participants had the opportunity to win two $50,000 prizes and other rewards by locating a sticker inside cases of Sweet ThingsĀ® Sweet Potato Fries and entering a code to determine a winning match.

Lamb Weston presented Chartwells and Green Mountain College with a presentation check in June 2014. All proceeds go to the College and a portion of the money will be utilized to enhance the dining operations.

Chef Mooney said, "The College asked us for a wish list based on how the funds could contribute to the campus dining experience. Since the campus raises its own farm animals for consumption as part of its sustainability mission to embody, teach, and promote sustainable food production, we thought that an industrial roaster would be a good recommendation to start."
